About the Journal
African Journal of Green Engineering and Energy Research (AJGEER)is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal dedicated to promoting high-quality inter- and multi-disciplinary research on the practice and opportunity of advancing cutting-edge innovations of sustainable engineering within and allied to chemical engineering, water engineering, energy efficiency, environmental engineering, and renewable energy systems. AJGEER seeks to provide an international forum for building capacity and expanding access to green engineering and energy research solutions to the challenges of Africa and beyond. The journal aims to promote original and demanding research results with engineering and technological solutions that address challenges and prospects in engineering education, water-energy nexus systems, energy efficiency, a safe environment, and a circular economy. Additional core research areas of the journal include but are not limited to green engineering, thermodynamics, green hydrogen, water and wastewater treatment technologies, smart grids and energy integration systems, policy and economics related to green energy, energy storage, and distribution systems, computational modelling, process optimisation, catalysis, magnetic nanotechnology, and energy research, which will inspire and inform decision-making for sustainable development actions. Therefore, to appeal to a broader reader's interest, the journal welcomes manuscripts with high-quality contributions from practitioners and researchers through original/ fundamental research articles, peer-reviewed articles, technical reports, and short communications. In addition, thematic proposals from guest editors on topics related to the scope of the journal for special issues and conference proceedings are welcome.
