Editorial Team
Selection process of managing editorial committee:
- Nominations (self-nomination inclusion) and motivation (record of publication and experience of reviewing; member of SAERA; field of scholarship)
- Screened by MEC for appointment + two external members (SAERA)
- Period of appointment: 5 years
- Term: maximum of two terms
- Number of members in the MEC: 8 to 10 depending upon need
- Vacancy: considered within the 5 year period, using the same process for selection
- Representation across institutions.

Criteria for selection:
- Active scholars in the field
- Available to serve and review at least 2 articles per year for the journal
- Diversity in terms of geography, institutional type and gender
- Support and realise the aims of the journal
- Be available for at least one meeting (virtual/in-person) a year
- Evidence of experience in serving in editorial processes
- Be part of a research network
Recruitment process:
- Invite potential candidates
- General call for nominations (including self-nominations)
- Referral
Selection process:
Review of submissions by the EMC and at least one external member of SAERA
Term of office:
- 5 years
- Maximum of 2 terms
- Right to end the term prior to the five-year period is reserved
