Abstract

Sadly, we have begun 2024 witnessing the ongoing violence against the Palestinians of Gaza, which, at the time of writing, has continued unabated for over 125 days. That we have observed attacks on healthcare workers and facilities in this region is beyond belief. As South Africans, we should be rightfully proud of our country’s commitment to speak out against injustice and the decision to approach the International Court of Justice and understandably dismayed at the continued disregard of the Court’s rulings.
