About the Journal

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Public Innovation and Sustainability (JPIS) is a multi-disciplinary journal that publishes cutting-edge research in science, technology, and innovation. It focuses on the role of science, technology, and innovation in the public sector. This may include the role of innovation in improving government/public services, the creation and diffusion of new technologies, and the socioeconomic and environmental impact of innovation. The journal accepts original papers, review articles, commentaries, and book reviews. Original papers must be theoretically and methodologically rigorous, offering new contributions to the field of innovation studies, and they must be policy-relevant. The journal is intended to provide the widest possible coverage of the various aspects of the comprehensive field of public innovation. Hence, contributions from both academics and practitioners are accepted.

JPIS is a double-blind peer-reviewed publication. It is dedicated to publishing quality manuscripts on public innovation. A variety of contributions including primary articles, review articles, and viewpoints may be made to the journal.
