Author Guidelines
Editorial Policy
1. Publication Frequency: The Journal of Public Innovation and Sustainability is a quarterly journal.
2. Focus: The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles, review articles, case studies, exemplar profiles, viewpoints and research results from practitioners for all grades and professions, academics and other specialists on the broad spectrum of innovation and sustainability concerns regarding local, provincial, national, and international affairs.
Author Declaration: Any manuscript submitted to JPIS must have a signed declaration by author(s) confirming their authorship, order of authorship, and that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere or under review for publication elsewhere.
Originality check: Before the peer review process is initiated, submitted manuscripts will be checked for possible plagiarism using similarity detection software and relevant action will be taken according to the JPIS’ plagiarism policy.
Review process: All the submissions made to the JPIS will be subjected to a double-blind peer-review process.
Desk rejection: The editor may reject a submission that is considered unsuitable for the journal.
Copyright: JPIS is the copyright owner of all published manuscripts. Prior consent of JPIS and authors must be granted before the reproduction of manuscripts in any form. It is the responsibility of authors to ensure that they have permission to publish any copyright materials in their manuscript. The journal assumes no responsibility.
Preparation of the Article: Manuscripts submitted to the JPIS should not exceed 7000 words including the abstract, figure and table captions, and reference list. To ensure the blind peer-review, the title page of the manuscript should not have any author identifying information. A separate title page document with author details must be submitted alongside the manuscript. All manuscripts must be accompanied by an abstract of 250-300 words. The abstract must contain the problem statement, objective(s) and method(s), study findings, and conclusion. Manuscripts must be prepared using British English. Tables and figures must be explained in the texts and labeled in the order in which they appear in the manuscript. All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list. The Harvard style must be used both in-text and the reference list. Manuscripts should be sub-divided into the following sub-headings: introduction, methodology, findings, discussions and conclusions. However, authors may include sub-sections for the above main sections.
